J-1 GSS Processing Fee Information

Effective 7/1/2024, all requests for J-1 Initial, Transfer-in, and Extension cases processed by GSS are subject to an internal processing fee.

• The processing fee for the Scholar categories (Short-Term Scholar, Research Scholar, and Professor) is $150.
• The processing fee for the Student Intern category is $150.
• The processing fee for J-2 dependents is $150 for each dependent.

GSS fee payment instructions are sent to the departments after the processing is done.
